The Original Chair Company is an established company known for fine upholstery & interior decorating and are located in Perth, Scotland. Our company specialises in new custom built, quality seated furniture that’s based mainly on classic styles. We also offer an interior design service and we carry a range of antique chairs and sofas for refurbishment and re-upholstery, as well as re-upholstering your own sofas and chairs. We work with residential clients for their home interiors as well as commercial businesses, including hotels and restaurants looking to update or create new rooms.
Our custom made furniture is British made and we have a wide range of good quality fabrics in our studio from all the main fabric houses. As a part of our bespoke interior design and decorating service we are delighted to offer our clients the latest collections of fabrics and wallpapers along with rugs and flooring options, window dressings including curtains / blinds and pelmets, interior lighting, tables and bedroom furniture and an extensive range of soft furnishings. Since we began in 2006 we have sold hundreds of antique armchairs and sofas in a variety of styles. This was how our business started and it still inspires us today. From our base in the countryside of Perthshire our upholsterers are experts in taking old pieces of antique furniture and giving them new life, thereby, creating a family heirloom which can be passed down through the generations. We can also reupholster your own beloved antique or modern furniture pieces in your choice of fabric.
